I always loved the Jack Handey "Deep Thoughts" segments of SNL that aired during the 80s, but I was shocked to learn that Mr. Handey is, in fact, a living, breathing person. That's right: the man who brought us gems like "Disneyland" (below) is still producing material.
"One thing kids like is to be tricked. I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no,' I said, 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but deep down, I think he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late."
